I recently knitted my first sweater and it's a big, comfy, slouchy gray monster. I've got a soft spot for giant sweaters. They remind me of wearing my father's college sweatshirts when I was a kid. The sweater + leather jacket combination here feels young and tailored, but still comfortable.

There's something about the stitch in this sweater that makes me think of lichen. I love the little fan shapes. I found the image in Lucky Magazine originally, but the sweater is from Theory. Trouble is: I can't find it for sale anywhere! I'd love to get a look at it up close.

 

I got a similar feeling from the Bedford sweater by Michele Wang for Brooklyn Tweed. Big sweaters are pure comfort to me. I'm still a little timid about starting another sweater project, so I'll stick to scarves and hats for the time being, but I'm tempted...
